Bríd Heffernan has just been awarded the Arts and Disability Connect Scheme, Mentoring Award 2017. Bríd has worked as artist in residence at Mayfield Arts Centre since March 2008 as part of Cúig supported studios. Bríd has experimented with various materials working primarily with mixed media, dry point etchings and drawing with acrylic inks.
Bríd takes inspiration from the world of style and fashion in particular, incorporating elements of patterns and vivid colours into her work. She regularly co-facilitates creative workshops in print and drawing with groups of all abilities. Bríd has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally and is interested in developing a new body of work for a solo exhibition in 2018.
